‘Twas the night before Christmas and while underwater, lots of creatures were stirring, under my light set on spotter…
Night dives give us the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife. We often have to camp out during the day waiting for shy animals, like octopuses, to emerge from their dens. At night, incredible creatures both large and small become active. The best time to photograph these creatures is during a night dive!
Mastering Night Photography
Everything changes at night. In the cover of darkness, shedding light on our subjects requires complicated skills. Even the camera equipment and scuba gear we bring is different on a night dive. But the complexity doesn’t end there.
Join Photo Pro Andrea Whitaker as she sheds light on the mysteries of night photography! Whether you are comfortable with a DSLR or point-and-shoot camera, drift or still photography, Andrea will help you fine tune your night photo skills.
NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
Lighting and camera settings vary greatly depending on your subject matter. The Night Photography workshop can be adapted to different locations.
