Offered daily aboard Sirena, you can complete or begin a PADI Continuing Education course on your next dive charter!  Bonus Savings – Now you can complete your PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver certification at the same time as almost any Continuing Education course!

**Individual courses vary in length from half-day to four-days, and can be completed during one/multiple visits to South Florida. With Pura Vida Divers, you can complete all or any portion of the required dives for a PADI Continuing Education course. You will receive your certification for the course upon completion of all required dives and additional training requirements.**

 

PADI ADVENTURE DIVERAdventure Diver

The PADI Adventure Diver course allows you to sample three Adventure Dives of your choice. Additionally, you can credit each of your Adventure Dives towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or as the first dive of a correlating PADI Specialty course.  Typically completed in one day, your Adventure Dive choices include enriched air (nitrox), drift, boat, wreck, deep, night, underwater navigation, fish identification, underwater naturalist, peak performance buoyancy, digital underwater photography, and search and recovery.
We include: Three Adventure Dives, air tank rentals (unless specified), soft weights, weight belt, training materials, certification and instructor fees.

Requirements:  Students must provide their own gear, or alternatively can rent gear from us.  You must be an Open Water Diver to participate in this course.  Minimum age of 15 (or 12 for Junior Advanced)

 

PADI ADVENTURE DIVESAdventure Dives

Want to try a new type of diving but your vacation or business schedule does not permit a full course?  Complete your PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver course one Adventure Dive at a time. You will receive your certification for the course upon completion of all required dives and additional training requirements.
Offered daily onboard Sirena, your Adventure Dive choices include: enriched air (nitrox), drift, boat, wreck, deep, night, fish identification, underwater naturalist, and underwater digital photography.

Requirements:  You must be an Open Water Diver to participate in adventure dives. Minimum age of 15 (or 12 for Junior Advanced).  Adventure dives do not include:  your charter, tank rentals, gear rentals, training materials, or certification fees.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

In two days, complete five Adventure Dives to earn your Advanced Open Water Certification.  Padi requires deep and underwater navigation dives as well as your choice of three additional Adventure Dives to complete the course.  Choose from: enriched air (nitrox), drift, boat, wreck, night, fish identification, underwater naturalist, peak performance buoyancy, digital underwater photography, and search and recovery.

We include:  Five Adventure Dives, air or nitrox tank rentals (unless specified), soft weights, weight belt, training materials, certification and instructor fees.

Requirements:  Students must provide their own gear, or alternatively can rent gear from us. You must be certified as an Open Water Diver to participate in this course.  Minimum age of 15 (or 12 for Junior Advanced).  In addition, each of your Adventure Dives can be credited towards the first dives of correlating PADI Specialty courses.  The Advanced course pairs perfectly with the Enriched Air (Nitrox) Course as well!

PADI RESCUE DIVER

Become a PADI Rescue Diver and expand your knowledge and experience as you learn to look beyond yourself, and consider the safety and well being of other divers.  Your PADI Rescue Diver training prepares you to help prevent problems, and manage dive emergencies by incorporating a variety of techniques over a 3-4 day period.  Although the course prepares you for serious diving situations, building your confidence, understanding, experience, and skills, it easily ranks as a favorite among divers because it’s so much fun!

We include:  Air tank rentals, soft weights, weight belt, training materials, certification, and instructor fees.

Requirements:  Students must provide their own gear, or alternatively can rent gear from us.  You must be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver and an Emergency First Responder (or equivalent) to participate in this course.  Minimum of 12 years old.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDEREFR

Emergency First Responder course trains you in the basics of emergency care including CPR, First Aid and AED. Completed in one day, your Emergency First Responder course is a prerequisite for your PADI Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and Instructor courses.  This course is available for both divers and non-divers.

MASTER SCUBA DIVERMaster Scuba Diver

Are you a Rescue Diver interested in taking your recreational diving education to its limits? Do you want more diving knowledge, understanding, and experience? If you answered yes, you should consider earning your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest rating awarded to recreational divers.
With Pura Vida Divers’ instructional team, you will complete five PADI Specialty courses of your choice. Typical selections include PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox), Wreck, Deep, Boat, and Drift Diver courses, but you are welcome to coordinate your course selections with your PADI Instructor. All PADI Specialty courses are applicable for your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Requirements:  You earn the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating after successful completion of your Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses, 50 logged dives, and five PADI Specialty courses. As a Master Scuba Diver, you are well qualified to begin your training as a PADI Divemaster.

We include:  Five Specialty courses, 12 dives, air tank rentals (unless specified), soft weights, weight belt, training materials, certification and instructor fees.

Already certified Advanced and Rescue with 50 logged dives and a few PADI Specialty courses? No problem, we can help you acquire any additional PADI Specialty courses needed until you have completed five total. DIVEMASTERDivemaster Certification

Your first step to Professional Training!  The Padi Divemaster Course ranks as an absolute must for anyone interested in working in the Profession of Diving.  PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

After becoming certified as a PADI Divemaster you will be authorized to:Divemaster Training

Supervise both training and non-training-related activities by planning, organizing and directing dives
Assist a PADI Instructor during the training sessions for any PADI Diver course
Conduct the PADI Skin Diver course and PADI Discover Snorkeling program
Conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving experience
Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program
If qualified as a Discover Scuba Diving Leader, independently conduct the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program.
Earn the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Instructor rating to be able to teach the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer specialty.
Independently guide Open Water Diver course students on the tour portion of Open Water Diver course Training Dives 2, 3 and 4 at a ratio of two student divers per certified divemaster.
Accompany Open Water Diver students under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor during:

  • surface swims to and from the entry/exit point and during navigational exercises
  • when the instructor conducts a skill, such as an ascent or descent, a Divemaster can remain with other student divers (with an individual student or buddy team)

Accompany student divers during Adventure Dives or Specialty training dives under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor.
Conduct the PADI Seal Team Skin Diver Specialist AquaMission
Conduct subsequent dives under an instructor’s indirect supervision for Discover Scuba Diving participants after participants have satisfactorily completed the first dive with a PADI Instructor.
Teach Emergency First Response courses after successfully completing an Emergency First Response Instructor course.

Requirements:  18 years of age; Students must provide their own gear, or alternatively can rent gear from us; A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization); A PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization); An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months; Have at least 40 dives to begin the course and 60 for certification; Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
