Congrats to Jack Israel, winner of our 2017 Easter Photo Contest! His image of an Anemone Shrimp with eggs took first place.

Jack won an 8″ x 10″ metal print of his photo, as well as a 2-tank dive aboard our charter boat Sirena.

It was difficult to choose a winner this year, with fantastic entries from so many of our favorite local photographers. View the photo gallery below to see this year’s submissions.

Every photograph entered in this year’s contest must have featured animal eggs, in reference to the Easter holiday and the coming of spring.

Many of the 2017 contest submissions feature macro life, or tiny creatures, living in the beautiful shallow waters at the Blue Heron Bridge, off of Phil Foster Park. “The bridge” is a premiere shore diving location. You can learn more about this popular dive site by visiting our Blue Heron Bridge webpage.

Are you making the most of every dive at the Blue Heron Bridge? If you’re a photographer, consider arranging a Photo Guide. You’ll have the keen eyes of our experienced Photo Pros along for your dive to point out macro critters that are easily overlooked amongst the variety of marine life at the bridge.

If you’re a new diver, or a local looking to gain more experience and an in-depth knowledge of the bridge’s layout, bring along a Private Dive Guide and learn from our experts.
