Do you enjoy diving with Sharks? Can you identify the species with just a glance?

Then winter time in Palm Beach County is the perfect time and place for you to dive. There is never a garantee that you will see a shark, however, with eight species seen regularly in our waters, you might just have the best shark dive of your life.

Join Pura Vida Divers on February 8th for our PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Diver Distinctive Speciality Course. Learn how to ID different species of sharks and how to interact with them in their natural environment. Also learn about some of the pressures that they are facing world wide and what you can do to help save sharks.

After our classroom session we will break for lunch before heading to Jupiter for a two tank Lemon shark trip with Jupiter Dive Center (JDC). We will dive two sites known for commonly seeing Lemon sharks.

Our PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Diver Distinctive Speciality Course will include: your boat pass with JDC, two air tanks, a Project Aware certification card, lunch, a donation to the Shark Savers’ SharkCount Program, and a Pura Vida “Making Sharks Count” t-shirt.

The day’s schedule:

Classroom session: 9:00am

Lunch provided by Pura Vida: 11:00am

Check-in at Jupiter Dive Center (JDC): 12:45pm

Trip departs: 1:30pm

Cost: $250 per person (Nitrox tanks are additional and certification is required)
You must be Advanced Open Water (AOW) certified to sign up for this class.

If you are not AOW certified, don’t let that discourage you from signing up.  You can get AOW certified in as little as two days.  Contact us for more information, or to sign up for our next AOW class.  We will have you Advanced Open Water certified before February 8th, 2014.
