When thinking all about sea turtles, divers imagine the friendly creatures they observe while underwater.  Florida beachgoers picture nests marked off in the sand.  Children jump to surfer-inspired characters like Crush and Squirt from Finding Nemo.

But no matter what we picture when we think of a sea turtle, we all have one thing in common – we can’t help but adore these fascinating marine animals.  As true admirers of sea turtles, it’s up to us to learn about and advocate for them before it’s too late.

Do you want to expand your knowledge about sea turtles?  Do you have questions about them you’ve never been able to answer before?  Well, you’re in luck!

Tune in to our July social night, All About Sea Turtles, with local sea turtle expert, Dr. Larry Wood.  Prepare your questions and get ready to learn.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know there are 5 different species of sea turtles that frequent South Florida’s coastline?  Of those 5, do you know which are the most common and uncommon to see?

Why do there seem to be so many sea turtles in the Palm Beaches every summer?  What are their different nesting habits?  And what makes one species different from another?

If this is the turtle trivia you’ve wondered about, you won’t want to miss the sea turtle social night.  Dr. Larry Wood will join us for a one-of-a-kind Q&A session to educate sea turtle enthusiasts and answer all the questions we have.

WHEN & WHERE

Join us virtually via Zoom on Friday, July 30th at 6 PM EST.

First, learn from Dr. Wood as he teaches us about the different kinds of sea turtles found in South Florida.  Listen to facts about their different nesting habits and more.

Then, dive into a live Q&A session!  Ask Dr. Wood anything and everything you want to know about sea turtles and his research.

We turtle-y can’t wait to see you there!
