Join renowned professional photographer Chris Parsons for an exciting workshop that will improve your photography skills to help you capture beautiful, colorful images of Goliath Grouper. Chris’ inspiring images have been published in leading industry magazines including Alert Diver, Sport Diver, and SCUBA Diving. His photographs have also been featured by National Geographic.
The comprehensive workshop includes an afternoon Classroom session on Sat, Sept 23 from 2 pm – 5 pm. Join us the next morning, Sun, Sept 24 for a 2-Tank Morning Dive aboard Pura Vida’s charter boat Sirena. The dive departs at 8:30 AM, and check-in begins at 7:45 AM.
The class session will focus on key components of creating a striking image including:
– Gear Selection:
– Which lens to use
– How to choose optimal lighting
– Exposure: Capture as much detail as possible
– Focus: Overcoming the challenge of focusing at depth
– Color: How to retain color, even at deeper depths
– Safely approaching Goliath Grouper without spooking them
The morning 2-Tank Dive Charter departs at 8:30 am, and includes complementary tank rentals or fills. Between dives, Chris will review your images to offer personalized tips techniques to further your photography skills.
