Pura Vida Divers and the ANGARI Foundation are teaming up to host an evening of art, ocean education, and community action. Join us to make a direct impact on marine science.

WHAT IS DRIFT CARD DECORATING?

The Lagoon Drift Card Study is an ongoing citizen scientist project. The experiment uses small, eco-friendly wooden drift cards to study how water currents, plastics, and marine debris move through and accumulate in the Lake Worth Lagoon and surrounding coastal waterways.

During the event, participants will use eco-friendly craft supplies to decorate these wooden drift cards. Researchers from the ANGARI Foundation will later release the drift cards into the lagoon.

Once released, people across South Florida will help locate and report the cards where they wash ashore. This provides essential data for ocean research!
