As you drift through blue water, the shadow of a shipwreck appears in the distance, its bow guarded by giant Goliath Grouper.  For an underwater photographer, this is the chance to capture an epic image.  Take your best photo yet during the Goliath Grouper Photography Workshop this September!  Join us to learn from Pura Vida Divers photo pro Andrea Whitaker as she helps you craft the perfect shot.

Goliath Grouper are the largest tropical reef dwelling bony fish in the world.  Every year, these gentle giants flock to the waters of Southeast Florida. They gather around wrecks in 70 to 90 feet of water to spawn.  Photographing these big fish requires a special set of skills.  Snapping the perfect shot is complicated by the drift environment in which these giants live.

During the Goliath Grouper Photography Workshop, you learn about their behavior and build your wide angle knowledge.  Understand how to navigate a drift current while photographing.  Practice strobe placement and lighting techniques.  Become intimately familiar with the camera settings best applied to varying wide angle conditions.

Whether you are using a point and shoot camera or a DSLR, these wide angle drift diving photography skills will help you capture your best images!
