It’s official, Pura Vida Divers has been the proud sponsors of Phil Foster Park for one year now!  With your help, we have collected over 400 lbs of trash and recycling from Phil Foster Park this past year.

To celebrate our one year anniversary, we will be conducting an Underwater/Beach Cleanup & Cookout at Phil Foster Park on Saturday, June 28th at 8:15am in conjunction with the 4th Annual Southeast Florida Reef Cleanup and Divers Direct.

This is a FREE event! Divers, snorkelers, surfers, and beach goers are all welcome to attend.

All divers need to confirm participation before the day of the event and will be required to bring their diver certification card, a dive flag float, and a timing device as well as sign an Underwater Liability Release Form.  All non-divers participating in the Phil Foster Park Cleanup will be required to sign a liability release at the registration table.

To thank everyone for participating, everyone who turns in a completed data card will have their trash weighed for a chance to win a free boat pass for a 2-tank dive trip aboard Sirena, or a half day surfboard or paddle board rental.  The individual who collects the most trash (by weight) will be our winner and may choose their prize.

Itinerary for the day:

8:15am: Meet at the picnic tables near the playground for an underwater/beach cleanup orientation. We will provide cleanup materials and hand out goodie bags to those who attend while supplies last. Supplies are limited, so be sure to get there early.

9:39am High tide: Divers who attend the underwater/beach cleanup orientation and return their collection bag filled with trash, will receive a voucher for a free air tank rental or air fill from Pura VIda Divers.

10:30am:  Please bring your collected trash and completed data cards back to the picnic tables. Everyone who turns in a completed data card will have their trash weighed for a chance to win a free boat pass for a 2-tank dive trip aboard Sirena, or a half day surfboard or paddle board rental.  The individual who collects the most trash (by weight) will be our winner!

12:00pm: Beach Cookout!!  To thank everyone for joining us for our anniversary Phil Foster Park Adoption Cleanup & Cookout, Divers Direct will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers for those who participate in the cleanup.

Please RSVP by Monday, June 23rd.  This will ensure that we have enough food and cleanup supplies for everyone attending.
