Beach Cleanup at Blue Heron Bridge

‘Tis the season of giving, so give back to one of our fabulous South Florida dive sites. Join the Beach Cleanup at Blue Heron Bridge! The Pura Vida Divers team will be ready and waiting for you on Saturday, December 21. Volunteers can join us at 9 AM at Phil Foster Park to clean the shoreline of the Blue Heron Bridge.

Certified SCUBA divers can earn their PADI Dive Against Debris specialty certification and hop aboard dive charter boat Marin to remove trash from offshore reefs. All data collected will be shared with the Ocean Conservancy, PADI’s Project AWARE, and local cleanup organizations.

Volunteers MUST register in advance. ALL cleanup supplies will be provided. These include buckets and bags, trash grabbers and gloves. Mesh bags will be provided for divers. All ages are welcome!

Remember to bring a reusable water bottle, a hat and sunscreen. Beach cleanup volunteers should wear swimsuits and closed-toe water shoes if you plan to wade in the water.
