Due to the strong winds on March 24th, we have rescheduled our Turtle Education Day with Larry Wood for April 7th.

So, join Pura Vida Divers and the Florida Hawksbill Project’s Larry Wood on April 7th for a two tank afternoon dive trip aboard Sirena.

As divers, we get to observe sea turtles in their natural environment and with frequent and regular sightings, we often become familiar with local trends. This lead recreational scuba diver, Larry Wood, a conservation biologist at the Palm Beach Zoo, to initiated the state’s first and only study to focus on the endangered Hawkbill sea turtles.

The Florida Hawksbill Project’s study of our endangered Hawksbill sea turtles, encourages and facilitates marine research as well as the conservation of Florida’s coral reef habitats.

On April 7th, our goal is to conduct observational turtle dives, with the aid of Larry Wood, to view Hawksbill sea turtles in their natural environment.

Our two tank trip aboard Sirena will include the boat pass, two air tanks, a donation to the Florida Hawksbill Project, and a Pura Vida/ Palm Beach Zoo “Hawksbill Project” t-shirt.
