Captains in Palm Beach County gain invaluable experience on the water.  They master tides and currents as they develop the unique skillset required to run drift charters.  They learn the plethora of beautiful sites to drop divers on.

Aurelia Adventures has openings for USCG Captains. Experience as a dive professional and Captain is preferred, but not required.  The position requires captaining and/or crewing the M/V Aurelia (46′ Newton) and the M/V Marin (36′ Newton).

  • 50-ton USCG Master (minimum) required, 100-ton preferred
  • PADI OWSI preferred
  • Mechanical abilities preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid & O2 Certification
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States


  • PADI MSDT or higher rating
  • Drift Diving experience
  • Customer Service skills
  • Social media skills are a plus!


First and foremost, our Captains are responsible for running safe diving charters and providing a positive guest experience.  We strive to provide the best experience possible.  We take pride in our boats’ cleanliness and safe operation.

Captain’s duties also include:

  • Keeping the dock / slip area clean and in working order
  • Maintenance of both vessels
  • Ensuring boats are clean and in proper working order
  • Confirming proper check-in procedures and roll calls are done
  • Updating Captain’s log and other record-keeping duties
  • Mentor Crew members
  • Manage daily charter operations
