Pura Vida Divers is teaming up with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful for the 2017 International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 23. Our location is Phil Foster Park! The Park and Blue Heron Bridge were effected by Hurricane Irma, and we could use your help removing debris from the shoreline to get the park in shape for diving again.

IMG_5146This is a FREE event. Divers, surfers, beach goers, kids and families are all welcome to attend. To thank everyone for participating, everyone who turns in a completed data card will have their trash weighed for a chance to win a prize. The individual who collects the most trash (by weight) will be our winner.

Itinerary for the day:

9:00 am: Meet at the picnic tables near the playground for registration and an underwater/beach cleanup orientation. The beach cleanup orientation will begin promptly at 9:00 am.  We will provide cleanup materials and hand out International Coastal Cleanup t-shirts (donated by Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful) to those who attend, while supplies last. Supplies are limited, so be sure to get there early.

11:30 am:  Please bring your collected trash and completed data cards back to the picnic tables. Everyone who turns in a completed data card will have their trash weighed for a chance to win a prize. The individual who collects the most trash (by weight) will be our winner!

Please RSVP to ensure you receive a cleanup t-shirt.

Do you need CAS or Community Service Hours? You can earn up to 3 CSA or Community Service Hours for participating in the day’s events. Don’t forget to bring your forms.  We will be happy to sign your service hour sheets!
