Phil Foster Park Quarterly Beach Cleanup

With your help, over 450 lbs of trash have been removed from Phil Foster Park so far this year, and over 600 lbs of trash was removed from Phil Foster Park in 2014.  On Saturday, December 5th, Pura Vida Divers is setting out to beat the 2014 collection total, and we need you help to do so.  This will be the last beach cleanup of 2015, so let’s give it our all.

This is a FREE event! Divers, surfers, and beach goers are all welcome to attend.

To thank everyone for participating, everyone who turns in a completed data card will have their trash weighed for a chance to win a free boat pass for a 2-tank dive trip aboard Sirena, or a half day surfboard or paddle board rental.  The individual who collects the most trash (by weight) will be our winner and may choose their prize.

Do you need CAS or Community Service Hours? You can earn up to 5 CSA or Community Service Hours for participating in the day’s events.  Don’t forget to bring your forms.  We will be happy to sign your service hour sheets!

Itinerary for the day:

9:00am: Meet at the picnic tables near the playground for a beach cleanup orientation. We will be handing out goodie bags to those who attend while supplies last. Supplies are limited, so be sure to get there early.

12:00pm:  Please bring your collected trash and completed data cards back to the picnic tables.  Everyone who turns in a completed data card will have their trash weighed for a chance to win a prize.  The individual who collects the most trash (by weight) will be our winner!
