Recognized by divers as a premier dive destination, Palm Beach County and Southeast Florida also offers divers and non-divers a multitude of recreational opportunities. Palm Beach County offers renowned entertainment and shopping districts, fine dining, and championship golf courses as well as snorkeling, kayaking, sportfishing charters, sky diving, parasailing, jet skiing, and biking.
While you're here interact with Loggerhead, Green, Hawksbill, and Leatherback turtles at the Juno Beach Marinelife Center, snorkel at John D. McArthur State Park, tour the Henry Flagler Museum, drive through Lion Country Safari, or walk down exclusive Worth Avenue.
Seasonally, you will find major events such as SunFest, the Palm Beach Boat Show, and the Holiday Boat Parade. Palm Beach County is also a primary nesting location for Loggerhead, Green, and Leatherback turtles from May until October.
Departing from the Port of Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Princess and the Texas Treasure offer gambling, live entertainment, and dinner cruises. Located near the Palm International Airport, the Palm Beach Kennel Club offers dog racing and fine dining.
Orlando, home of Disney World and Universal Studios theme parks, is only a 3 1/2 hour drive. South Beach in Miami is just over an hour drive. The Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes, Miami Heat, Miami Fusion, Miami Sol, and Florida Marlins as well as Major League Baseball Spring Training Camps for the Montreal Expos, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Cardinals, and New York Mets are all within driving distance as well.
